SBL Booth 2017

Visitor getting a 360 degree view from atop Mt Sinai

Dear BibleJourney Sojourners,

We are excited to report that we have taken some major steps in the last month.

Our Museum of the Bible (MOTB) display was completed by Michael Haun and installed in the MOTB retail store last week, just in time for the MOTB grand opening.  We are delighted with the display, and we have heard that many visitors are taking the time to view it.  MOTB enjoyed some large numbers: billions of social media impressions, thousands of articles and media reps, and nearly 9000 visitors on opening day.  We are praying that MOTB visitors will follow up and acquire the app for personal or group use.

That same weekend we attended the Society of Biblical Literature (SBL) annual convention.  This gathering hosts over 10,000 professors of Bible and Religion.  We displayed rolling demo videos of our app user interface and sample video content, which was all well received.  We had lots of traffic through our booth from professors, deans, pastors, and other individuals, many of whom came at the recommendation of previous visitors.  We are praying that other SBL visitors will follow up with us.

We have also been encouraged by our meeting this past Friday with Charlotte area church leaders who are planning to use the appin their educational curriculum in 2018.

We have recently posted sample content for users to test.  Check this link (click here) and provide feedback on the UI demo and samples.  We are also offering discounts off of retail for pre-release purchases prior to December 31, 2017.  Stay tuned for that announcement this week!

Development of the BibleJourney apphas been a complex undertaking, involving many dozens of contributing team members from all over the world.  We hope you will appreciate the quality and quantity of the content as it comes out.  We greatly appreciate the prayers that have lifted us upin this endeavor, as well as the donations that have enabled us to make the appas high quality as it is turning out to be.  For those of you who would like to support this effort financially, we ask that you make a donation prior to year-end to Silent Images, one of our non-profit partners. Our remaining videography balance with Silent Images is $34,000.  Please indicate that the donation is for BibleJourney.  Online donations can be made at www.silentimages.org/donate, or preferably, checks can be sent to:

Please continue to pray for all of our team members as we develop the rest of the content for the app.  Pray also for some early successes in group sales so that we have the much needed funds to complete the development in 2018.

Together,
Bryan and Tim
