For the past several months, our extended team has been busy developing BJ content for our prototype. We hired Polymath to assist with creative design, content editing and website development, and we’ve brought on a host of others to round out the team (an additional videography editor, graphic artists, transcribers, and a Photoshop editor).
We’re very excited to report that Compedia has developed several initial engines for the app, and they have started to load our content for the two modules of Genesis, which will comprise our prototype.
We held our first user feedback session with a large church this past Monday, and we just wrapped up a two-day planning session with the extended project team, our advisors, and special guests at Gordon Conwell Seminary in Charlotte.
From here we plan further testing of the prototype in parallel with content development for the Gospels. Tim is teaching the NT portion of BibleJourney at Gordon Conwell starting in September, and the video from those sessions will be used for much of the content for the NT. We also plan to strengthen our strategic partnerships with global Bible-based organizations as we get ready to make the BibleJourney experience available in November. The website will be outfitted with more information about beta-testing and you’ll see a revised promotional video showing the app’s user interface. We will be interested in churches and ministries who want to be involved in the beta-testing and focus groups. We are optimistic about making two of our six courses available by Christmas (Pentateuch and Gospels) and the release of the other four during the first half of 2018.
Thank you for asking how you can help! We will use the website to funnel interest soon, but in the meantime you can send us an email. You will also hear what our financial needs are throughout this year of production. For now, you can still make tax deductible donations by check to Silent Images (www.silentimages.org/donate) for some of our video production costs. We will keep you in touch as other opportunities arise.
God has blessed us in so many ways, and we can’t thank you enough for your prayers, encouragement, and support. Please continue to pray for all of our team members as we finalize the Genesis prototype and work on the upcoming milestones.
